Rotary Club of Montebello: People of ACTION 💪 HOPE, EDUCATION, INCLUSION — nothing more positive 💯
A new year, a new start! RC Montebello, under the leadership of President Leena, carried out its first1️⃣ project on Friday, 21st July 2023.
ANFEN (Adolescent Non-Formal Education Network) creates opportunities and facilitates the reintegration of school dropouts into society, once they’ve completed their training through internships or job placements 👨🍳👩🍳.
Members of RC Montebello, with the special support of PP Reihaz Ismail and Farouk Hossen Opticians, had the opportunity to meet the team of ECAL (École Culinaire Aline Leal) and hand over a cheque to support them financially in the hospitality 🏨 sector.
These young individuals are trained in food and beverage 🔪🍳🍽️, and it was truly inspiring to witness their progress. Mrs. Bertha Wan and her team shared the journey of these students, and the highlight was their warm welcome 🤗 and skill demonstration through delicious snacks prepared for RC Montebello members.
The Rotary International Theme for 2023-2024 is CREATE HOPE IN THE WORLD. Today, as a family, RC Montebello brought this to life by supporting these students — believing in them, encouraging their potential, and helping them integrate into the industry. Reintroducing these youth into society and enabling them to earn a living and support their families is what true INCLUSION means.
President Leena expressed her heartfelt thanks 🙏 to all Club members for their support and presence, which made this project such a success. Special gratitude goes to PP Reihaz and Farouk Hossen Opticians for sponsoring the initiative.
