Empowering Young Minds: RC Montebello Vision for Education and Health 👀

We are thrilled to share a heartwarming update on a meaningful initiative carried out by the Rotary Club of Montebello, in collaboration with PP Reihaz and the unwavering support of Farouk Hossen Opticians. This impactful project took place on Thursday, 15th February 2024, at GRNW under the dedicated leadership of Pdt Leena.

Driven by the belief that every child deserves access to the tools necessary for learning, the main goal of this initiative was to provide clear vision—a fundamental yet often overlooked necessity in a child’s academic journey. Recognizing how vital good eyesight is to educational success, RC Montebello joined hands with Farouk Hossen Opticians to make a difference where it truly matters.

During the vision screening, 45 children were assessed to identify those in need of visual support. As a result, 13 children were gifted reading glasses, generously sponsored by Farouk Hossen Opticians. This thoughtful gesture not only corrected their vision but also brightened their academic path and daily lives. One of the most touching moments of the day was witnessing the pure joy on the children’s faces as they put on their glasses and realized they could finally see the world clearly.

At the heart of this initiative lies a powerful message: quality education should not be hindered by financial limitations. By alleviating the burden on families and ensuring access to basic educational resources, RC Montebello continues to uphold its commitment to fostering both health and education within the community.

This project stands as a proud example of Rotary’s mission in action—supporting children, empowering futures, and creating hope. It underscores the deep connection between health and learning, while reminding us all how a simple act of kindness can change a life.
