An Easter Celebration Filled with Love, Laughter & Leadership 🐣
Some days go beyond simple gatherings — they become unforgettable memories etched in the heart. Our Easter event at Ecole des Sourds was one of those rare moments where love spoke louder than words, and every smile told a story of joy, hope, and togetherness. ☺️
Organised with great compassion, the Interact Club of Montebello spent a heartwarming half-day with the extraordinary children of Ecole des Sourds, accompanied by their parents, teachers, carers, and staff. What unfolded was not just an event — it was a celebration of inclusion, leadership, and pure human connection.
🧡 Right from the start, our Interactors led with purpose and heart. They took charge of setting up activity stations, prepared a variety of inclusive games like dominoes, snakes and ladders, UNO, Easter-themed colouring and word searches — ensuring that every child had something special to enjoy. And the magic happened effortlessly — children and Interactors bonded instantly, their differences melting away into shared laughter and play.
🫶 The Interactors didn’t just guide the activities — they were everywhere. Serving food and drinks with gentle smiles, making sure every child felt cared for, sitting side by side learning basic sign language, helping when needed, and leading with empathy. Their presence wasn’t just visible — it was felt.
🥰 Parents, moved by the genuine love and attention shown to their children, shared pieces of their lives with us. Their strength, their everyday stories — they humbled us.
🍰 The Easter spirit was alive in every detail — from the sweet treats and marshmallows to the cheerful atmosphere. But perhaps the most emotional moment came when our Interactors spoke to the audience, sharing why they chose to be part of this movement of service. With every word translated into sign language by the school’s staff, the message reached every heart in the room — that we are all in this world together, and together we can make it a better place.
💃 The day ended on a high — with music and a spontaneous dance session led by the school’s coach. In seconds, the room transformed into a whirl of happy feet and glowing faces. Children, Interactors, parents, and staff danced together — no barriers, just pure joy.
✨ The smiles, the laughter, the leadership, the love — it was overwhelming. In those few hours, we didn’t just celebrate Easter. We celebrated humanity.
