An Afternoon of Love and Blessings at BPS Residential Care Home

On the afternoon of Sunday, 18th May, our hearts were moved in ways that words can barely capture. As part of our Mother’s Day initiative, we spent a few beautiful hours at the BPS Residential Care Home, wrapped in warmth, laughter, and precious moments with the elderly ladies who welcomed us like family — with open arms and eyes full of stories. 👵🏼

We came with simple offerings — snacks 🍪, games 🎲, music 🎶, and a few small gifts 🎁 — but we left with something far more profound: a renewed appreciation for life, connection, and the quiet strength of those who came before us.

The home soon filled with the joyful energy of bingo numbers being called 🎉, dominoes clicking across tables 🁢, and timeless melodies echoing softly in the background 🎼. A few ladies even got up to dance 💃 — graceful steps and radiant smiles revealing that joy knows no age.

But it was in the quiet, intimate moments that our hearts lingered the longest — in the stories they shared of love, loss, and resilience. In the gentle way they held our hands 🤝, sometimes a little longer than expected — as if trying to hold onto the moment, and perhaps, to love itself.

To make each of them feel a little extra special, we offered a soft towel — a small but thoughtful token of care and comfort. 🧺

This afternoon was more than just a visit; it was a reminder that the greatest gifts we can give are not wrapped in ribbons 🎀, but in kindness, presence, and love. We came to give, but in truth, we received something immeasurable in return.
