Interact Club of Montebello at Gayasingh Ashram | Sunday 1st June
This year’s Mother’s Day was more than a celebration — it was a beautiful exchange of love, kindness, and shared humanity.
The Interact Club of Montebello, led by President Riya, spent an unforgettable afternoon at Gayasingh Ashram in Port Louis, making a meaningful difference in the lives of 100 elderly residents and 15 vulnerable children. 
President Riya went the extra mile , securing sponsorship to ensure the day was filled with joy, treats, and thoughtful activities. 
The atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter as Interactors:
played Bingo and Ludo,
applied mehendi and painted nails with love,
offered handmade Mother’s Day cards — small tokens that meant so much.One of the most touching moments came during teatime, as Interactors personally served cakes and snacks

. Watching the elderly enjoy these simple pleasures — their faces lighting up like children — was a humbling reminder of the joy found in the little things.
A truly special moment was meeting the oldest resident of the shelter, a graceful woman soon to celebrate her 102nd birthday
