A Meaningful Journey to Madagascar – District 9220 Conference 2025 Wrap-Up ✨🌍

From 30th April to 3rd May 2025, members of the Rotary Club of Montebello had the immense pleasure of attending the XXIXème Conférence and XXXème Assemblée de Formation du District 9220 in vibrant Madagascar. This major event was a perfect blend of Rotary values, strategic reflections, and heartfelt fellowship — a true celebration of The Magic of Rotary.

🤝 Fellowship was evident from the very start — from the airport to bus rides, and throughout our stay at the hotels and venues. It was a joy to connect not only with fellow Rotarians from Montebello but also with Rotarians and Rotaractors from across the district.

🎤 The conference featured insightful sessions tailored for Rotary leadership, focusing on advancing our mission through service, sustainability, and innovation. From strategic updates on Rotary’s global direction to impactful presentations on community engagement and project sustainability, every moment reinforced our shared commitment to meaningful, long-term change.

🎶 A deeply emotional highlight was the team-building session, where a unifying song brought everyone together — creating a powerful moment of connection, empathy, and shared vision. These experiences reminded us of the deeper purpose behind our service.

🌅 We also enjoyed sightseeing and lighter moments with fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors, making this trip memorable on all levels.

🌟 We were especially proud to witness the vibrant presence of our youth — members of both our Rotaract and Interact Clubs — shining bright throughout the event.

🙏 Our heartfelt thanks to District Governor Marie Françoise, the dedicated organising committee, and all speakers and facilitators who brought this conference to life. Special gratitude goes to PDG Lise Dutrisac, Representative of the RI President, for her inspiring presence and words.

As we return home, we carry not only cherished memories but also renewed energy, broader perspectives, and a deeper sense of unity and purpose. This journey has truly reinforced what it means to be part of Rotary — together in service, together in fellowship.
