Interact Club of Montebello celebrates Xmas with the children from Barkly 🎄🎅🎄

Putting a smile 😊 on a child’s face can change the world — maybe not the whole world, but at least their world! This was exactly what the members of the Interact Club of Montebello experienced today, Thursday 21st December 2023.

Members of the club organized a Xmas celebration for the children from Barkly, where several fun activities were planned. After the warm welcome 🤗, the day kicked off with the children singing 🎤 Xmas songs together. The guitar 🎸 part played by Interactor Bradley was truly amazing!

The kids had a wonderful time 😄 enjoying face painting 🎨🖌️, drawing and colouring Xmas designs. Some were busy making bracelets using colourful beads and threads. It was another beautiful moment of bonding 🤝 with these children who are often left alone. They felt loved and cared for by the Interactors — and were surprised to each receive a gift 🐻🧸 before leaving.

The Interactors also treated the kids to a McDonald’s meal 🍔 with soft drinks 🥤 and French fries 🍟, which they thoroughly enjoyed. You could see the happiness and satisfaction on their faces. Some moments are hard to express in words — but it was truly a time where Interactors showcased their sense of responsibility, leadership skills, and talents 💯.

Hats off to the dedication of the Interact Club of Montebello under the leadership of President Dakshanaa. Even as school students, they never missed a chance to serve society 👏👏. A special thanks to Fadia for her support in making this laudable project a reality.
