Health Day – RC Montebello at “École des Sourds” 🧏👂
Supporting students with disabilities promotes inclusion and reflects one of the core missions of RC Montebello 🌠.
With great satisfaction 😊, the Rotary Club of Montebello, under the leadership of President Leena, accomplished a heart-touching project ❣️ on Saturday 7th October. This event was made possible through the valuable collaboration of Farouk Hossen Opticians and Royal Green.
President Leena extends her sincere thanks 🙏 to President Dr. Joonas and the administration of “École des Sourds” for joining hands 🤝 to organise this Health Day, which beautifully coincided with Deaf Awareness Month celebrated in September.
👀 Eye screening was conducted by the Farouk Hossen Opticians team, while doctors from Royal Green carried out basic health tests 🩺💉💊. It was an inspiring moment to interact with the deaf children and their parents, offering them tailored health guidance and support.
Dr. Rahul led an informative session for both parents and children on the importance of sports 🚶🏃 and maintaining a balanced diet 🍴🍇🍊.
With the spirit of “Prevention is better than cure,” RC Montebello proudly supported the school in ensuring that these children — despite being deaf — can pursue their daily activities with healthy vision and overall well-being 💪.
President Leena expresses heartfelt thanks 😇 to Director Service Project Kaleem, PP Reihaz, PP Hemant, all RC Montebello members, school staff, parents, and the sign language interpreters who made themselves available on a Saturday to contribute to this meaningful cause 💯.
