💐A Mother’s Day to Remember 💐

This year’s Mother’s Day was more than a celebration — it was a beautiful exchange of love, kindness, and shared humanity.

The Interact Club of Montebello, led by President Riya, spent an unforgettable afternoon at Gayasingh Ashram in Port Louis, making a meaningful difference in the lives of 100 elderly residents and 15 vulnerable children. 👵👧

President Riya went the extra mile, securing sponsorship to ensure the day was filled with joy, treats, and thoughtful activities. 🍰🎁

The atmosphere was warm and filled with laughter as Interactors:
🎲 played Bingo and Ludo,
🎨 applied mehendi and painted nails with love,
💌 offered handmade Mother’s Day cards — small tokens that meant so much.

One of the most touching moments came during teatime, as Interactors personally served cakes and snacks. 🍰🫖 Watching the elderly enjoy these simple pleasures — their faces lighting up like children — was a humbling reminder of the joy found in the little things.

A truly special moment was meeting the oldest resident of the shelter, a graceful woman soon to celebrate her 102nd birthday. 🎂 These were not just moments of celebration — they were moments of connection. Moments where young hearts listened to the wisdom of another generation. 🕊️
